1. Run the Command Promptas administrator.
2. To disable NTFS compression type this command:
fsutil behavior set DisableCompression 1
To enable NTFS compression type anoher command:
fsutil behavior set DisableCompression 0
3. Press ENTER.
4. Close the Command Prompt.
5. Restart the computer.
Using Windows 10 Registry Editor
1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKLMSYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem
3. Create a DWORD (32-bit) value and give it the following name:
NtfsDisableCompression
If this value is already created, go to the fourth step.
4. Double-click the value and type into the Value data field
